Electrical Insulation Filament Strapping Tape

Electrical insulation filament tape is a composite, pressure-sensitive tape designed for both high mechanical strength and reliable electrical insulation. Its structure typically consists of three key layers:

Backing (Substrate): A flexible, dielectric material such as Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) or Polyester (PET) film. This base layer provides primary insulation, moisture resistance, and environmental protection.

Reinforcement: The defining feature is the embedded high-tensile filaments (usually fiberglass or polyester yarns) laid in a parallel, longitudinal pattern within the backing. These filaments carry the mechanical load.

Adhesive: A synthetic rubber-based or acrylic pressure-sensitive adhesive coats one side. It offers strong, immediate bonding to various surfaces like metals, plastics, and wire insulation.

Optional Layer: Some variants include a release liner (like silicone-coated paper) to protect the adhesive before use.
